Announcement of the passing of the Reverend Chester O’Brien
Dear St. Patrick’s Family,
It is my sad duty, as the Rector of St. Patrick’s Anglican Parish, to announce the passing of the Reverend Chester O’Brien, fondly known to all of us as Father Chet. Services and internment will be announced as they are determined. It is expected that they will be in 3-4 weeks to allow the family to travel. Father Chet was a scientist, entrepreneur, and pioneer in the space program, and at the age of 80, he became a priest. More importantly, he was a husband, father, grandfather, spiritual guide, mentor, and friend to so many in our parish and our community. He will be dearly missed, but we will aspire to live up to the example he set by his preaching, his prayerfulness, his kindness, and his holy life.
“I am the resurrection and the life, saith the Lord: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” (John 11:25)
